Meredith, I think your action plan looks great. I like that your plan has a control group as well as a "test" group. One thing I did on my plan was that I added one more row to the bottom and put in stuff about compiling information and writing a final report. I don't know if I was supposed to put that in the template or not, because it's understood that's what we'll do at the end. Unless you want to add something like that, I don't think you need to change a thing.
ReplyDeleteI like the assessments that you have put in . It was the hardest part of the plan for me, using assessments that accurately gauge the progress of the plan. I am keeping in mind that it is an evolving plan and may need to change. I think we all need to remember to be flexible with our action research plans.
ReplyDeleteI think your plan looks great. I considered having a control group too but couldn't decide how to organize it. I think it will be very interesting to have that to compare results with. Did you just choose them at random? Do you think you'll have any complaints from parents or kids about who was selected to use the tech tools vs. who wasn't? I know the parents at my school can find just about anything to complain about. Good luck with it though. Hopefully you'll get some really great info from this.
ReplyDeleteMeredith,
ReplyDeleteI really like the way your goal is set and you ready to go. It doesn't look like you will need to make too many revisions along the way. Now we just get to wait on the results. This is a great plan...Good luck!
I think your plan looks great! You look like you are ready to roll and get started. I know I've commented several times, but I really am interested in the results of your study. Learning math facts in the third grade is so important to their success in math in future grades.
